Thank you! I was like that until recently. However, if you think about it, men love gadgets and tools. Hubby has SOOOO many tools. This should be just another tool. I don’t know if I should share this and who might think poorly of me but, after I became more open minded sexually I actually bought a couple dildos that I hide from hubby. I know, I know. Hiding is not good and I am totally justifying it but I like them…. a lot!

I hate how women get a bad wrap on desire for sex. Hubby is a good lover but quite vanilla and not nearly often enough for me. I am menopausal also but have as much (or more) libido as ever. He is just tired and sore a lot too.

I work in a very professional environment but it does happen from time to time. Actually I struggle with self image so I enjoy hearing when I look nice. I acknowledge the comment but don’t pursue it. I don’t feel like I can tell my husband about it. I don’t feel like I have crossed a line. I don’t share with him technical conversations either. I feel a general update is sufficient.

I have never associated sex with a spiritual experience. Not that i think it’s wrong or shameful, but somehow different. I mean, we pray at night sometimes before or after sex but it still is a separate event somehow isolated as by a curtain. Honestly it wasn’t until I read the story from TangoSierra when they prayed and it seemed to be a spiritual experience that I really questioned why it is so isolated in my life. I think I have repressed feelings of being taught how “bad” anything outside of marriage is that I didn’t think of it as a spiritual even within marriage. Also my husband is a good man but his feelings on sex are very repressed. As I read the stories in on this page I start to see how different it could be. Now I find myself hoping that it can be although I‘m not sure how to get there. Thanks for this project. It gives me a little hope of a more fulfilling sexual experience within the framework of the church.
